The sea plays with your feet as you walk along glistening white sandy beaches which wrap around the islands like a velvet cloak. We have made our way to one of the two isolated archipelagos belonging to India. The Andaman & Nicobar Islands, in the Bay of Bengal, are a far cry from any maddening crowd! It is silent, eerie, snake like and complex. The puzzle network of mangrove branches reach out in every direction. It would be so easy to get lost here! Our guide cautions us to stay close as we paddle through the soft and what appear to be calm waters. Along the shore mud skippers jump through their maze of clay like castles as we paddle softly by, hoping above hope to see some salt water crocs enjoying the early morning sunlight. The water is inviting.
