Photography and text for magazines, travel sections and other printed and online media. The underwater world around Havelock has plenty to offer divers of all skill levels. In fact, much of the areas better diving is in water no deeper than 20 meters. The currents that flow over 'The Wall' with the changing of the tides attract a large number of fish, with Napoleon wrasse, trevally and snapper swimming over a garden of purple soft coral. Octopuses, scorpionfish and a variety of nudibranchs add to the colour of this beautiful site.Anemone Reef is home to schools of fusilier and snapper, a couple of turtles and well camouflaged ghost pipefish. Kuhl's and Jenkin's stingrays rest on the sand during the day.

Diving in the remote Lakshadweep Atol of India

We chose the latter and immediately head to the dive centre where we sign up and suit up for multiple days of scuba adventures. Every day brings us to another dive site. A major plus is finding Sumer, Manager of the Lacadives Dive Centre and super underwater photographer. Frits and Sumer get lost in taking pics and exchanging cameras. For myself I am happy mulling about with the 'Sweet Lips' and effortlessly floating along with the tides and currents that shape this amazing underwater world.

Diving and Sailing the Surin Islands, Thailand

images of Diving and Sailing the Surin Islands of Thailand by photographer Frits Meyst and writer Jillian Macdonald Adventure4ever.com photo galleries and stock photo archive with travel photography Consisting of 5 islands, the Surin Archipelago lies approximately 55 km from the coast of Thailand, about 5 km to the marine border with Myanmar. Underwater treasures around the Surin Islands will delight any snorkeler, and of course for the more adventurous, scuba diving. For now we are content with snorkel and mask, exploring the reefs which in most places have grown up to just one meter below the surface. On each day's venture into the sea we are treated to a myriad of smaller species darting in and out of the corals. The miracles in this underwater world of magic unfold before your eyes.
