Santa Theresa, Moho River, Belize

The native Maya people of the village of Santa Theresa still live a traditional lifestyle in their wooden thatch roofed homes without electricity. Santa Theresa is home to Pedro and Mario our Mayan river kayaking guides, and put in point for paddling the Moho river. The Moho river has many drop pools, waterfalls and rapids, but it also has quiet stretches. The river runs through the rainforest where we camp for the night.
